W dniu 04.07.2026 r. odbyła się Konferencja organizacyjno-promocyjna podsumowująca II edycję studiów podyplomowych „Bioinformatyka i biostatystyka w biologii i medycynie”. Odbyło się uroczyste wręczenie świadectw.

Postgraduate practical training for graduates of the medical program conducted in English.
Based on Article 15p of the Act of December 5, 1996, on the professions of physician and dentist, the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce organizes and enables the completion of a 26-week practical training corresponding to the scope of the clinical part of the postgraduate internship program. According to the aforementioned act, this training allows for the postgraduate internship to be credited by a decision of the Minister responsible for health.
This training can be undertaken no later than 2 years from the date of obtaining the professional title of doctor or dentist.
The practical training program includes a total of 26 weeks:

The partial trainings are to be undertaken at units with which the Jan Kochanowski University has signed cooperation agreements.
Application and qualification procedure:
Graduates/physicians who wish to undertake the 26-week practical training shall submit an application to the Vice-Rector for Medical Affairs declaring their intention to undertake the practical training.
The application must be submitted no later than 30 June of the calendar year in which the practical training is to commence.
Persons qualified to undergo the 26-week practical training are obligated, before the start of the training, to:
- Provide a criminal record check from the country of citizenship for professional activity purposes (certificate of no criminal record) [in case of origin from a country where the law does not provide for issuing such information, please contact the Institute of Medical Sciences directly].
- Provide information on vaccinations/immunization status required for clinical training and medical documentation confirming no contraindications to participate in the practical training, issued by a qualified doctor.
- Sign a training agreement with the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, specifying the requirements and obligations of the parties.
- Pay the specified fee according to the terms of the training agreement.
- Possess and provide a document confirming valid liability insurance (Civil Liability) and accident insurance (Personal Accident Insurance), extended with additional benefits due to occupational exposure related to potential contact with biological agents, covering the entire period of the practical training.
After submitting the application, delivering all required documents, signing the training agreement, paying the applicable fee, and providing proof of insurance covering the entire training period, the participant will receive: a referral for practical training, a practical training diary, a framework training schedule divided into individual weeks with the start dates of partial trainings, information about the location of specific partial trainings, and a list of assigned supervisors at each training location. The start date of the practical training begins on October 1st of the given calendar year. Upon request of the qualified individuals, this date can be changed, but it cannot be earlier than the acquisition of the professional title „doctor” by the qualified persons.
After completing the practical training, the participant will receive a certificate issued by the Coordinator confirming the completion of the training according to the program. According to Article 15p of the Act of December 5, 1996, on the professions of physician and dentist, the practical training can be recognized as completed through a decision issued by the Minister of Health upon the request of the person who has completed the practical training. The application must be submitted within 3 months from the day of completing the practical training.
The participant who completes the internship may apply to the Minister of Health for a decision recognizing the postgraduate internship as completed individually, or such a request on behalf of the graduate may be sent by the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce.
According to the aforementioned Act, the application should include:
A certificate issued by the medical entity where the practical training was completed, and documents containing information and data regarding:
- The duration of the practical training and its location,
- The person who conducted the final assessment of the practical training – first name, last name, and position,
A diploma confirming the completion of studies in the medical or dental field, or a certificate of completion of uniform master’s studies in the medical or dental field.
